Baseline
Challenge
For this project, I worked collaboratively with my classmate Juan Cuellar to develop a cohesive exhibition collateral for the Bachelor of Design year-end grad show. The exhibition was centered around the theme "Baseline", which focused on growth and the progression of skills earned in the four years of the Bachelor of Design program. Different cohorts start at a baseline and ultimately, in a highly individualized nonlinear way, specialize their skill set for the direction that best suits their goals.
Process
An obstacle we faced during the process was how to create a new look from the previous 3-4 year-end collaterals consistently being in “dark mode” (light text on dark background). To overcome this we looked at more natural hues for inspiration.
Solution
The final deliverables and visual identity developed were heavily inspired by nature and organic motifs that symbolize or have a relation to the concept of growth and development.
